The former Israeli Defense Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, has recently made a statement asserting that Israel will not become the personal property of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The statement comes amid ongoing political turmoil in Israel, with Netanyahu’s opponents pushing for his removal from politics.

Lieberman, who is a longtime ally-turned-rival of Netanyahu, made the statement during a speech at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. He accused Netanyahu of treating the country as his own personal property and warned against the dangers of allowing one person to hold too much power.

Lieberman’s comments come at a time when Netanyahu is facing mounting pressure to step down as leader of the Likud party, which he has led for over a decade. The calls for his resignation come after his failure to form a coalition government following the last election, leading to another round of voting which saw his party lose seats in the Knesset.

Netanyahu’s opponents accuse him of corruption and authoritarianism, with many calling for him to be held accountable for his actions. Lieberman’s statement reflects the growing frustration among many Israelis with the current political situation and the need for a change in leadership.

While Netanyahu remains a polarizing figure in Israeli politics, Lieberman’s comments suggest that there are those within his own party who are willing to challenge his leadership and push for change. As the political situation in Israel continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether Netanyahu will be able to retain his grip on power or whether he will be forced to step down.
